Do the people in your dreams ever morph into something or someone else? I know that’s happened in my dreams quite a few times. It’s not just a by-product of the bizarreness of our dreams… nay! T’is for a very good reason when Uncle Joe morphs into Winnie the Pooh.

When someone morphs into something or someone else in a dream, it is the way your wiser inner mind is showing you that person’s true colors. The audio below is a great example. It is from when I was on 98.7 The Peak in Phoenix, AZ with Chris and Amy. A gal called in with this very cool… and very telling dream about her ex. Also, listen out for the play on words her dream uses to make its point. Dreams love to use puns. If you can find one in your dream, you’ve found a good deal of the message!

As you can see, paying attention to and understanding your dreams can really give you an edge in life because it allows you to see your self, your current situation and the people around you in a brutally honest light. Now that Gina has gotten the clear and stern warning from her inner mind, she knows not to let this man back into her life.

Your dreams are such a powerful part of who you are.  They are giving you answers and direction, even warnings you need to know every night of your life. Why wouldn’t you want the ability to understand these important, even life-changing messages? Grab yourself a copy of one of my books and you’ll easily understand your dreams every morning and get a HUGE edge in life.

I absolutely love your books! They are helping me sort my dreams out already.” – Belinda, Savannah, GA

You know how, whenever we have a problem to sort out or a decision to make, we tend to say, “Let me sleep on it?”  The truth is, what we are really saying is “Let me dream on it,” because when we are dreaming we are doing our deepest, most focused and insightful thinking.

One of the most common areas of our lives that causes us trouble and indecision is the relationship department.  So many of us get stuck in bad relationships, or continue to repeat our mistakes with bad relationship after bad relationship because we don’t listen to that wise inner voice in the back of our head that knows better.  When we ignore that voice during the day, it will speak even louder to us at night through our dreams… but rather than speaking in words, this inner voice speaks to us in stories, pictures, emotions and metaphors.  And when you can understand this night language, the message is often as clear as day.

Below is an audio from when I was on 105.3 KISS FM in Gainesville, FL.  A gal called in with a dream that was clearly commenting on her bad relationship.  Listen for the “Aha moment” she gets when she is finally able to understand that her dream is telling her that she needs to get out of the relationship…

“It’s very exciting to be able to find out what my dreams mean the very next day.  Because I am now able to understand my dream language, I was able to tell when my dreams were giving me red flags about a certain person. I got rid of him immediately and now have an awesome man in my life that my dreams approve of!!” - Jen, Nashville, TN

Those that know me best also know I love Meat Loaf… no, not the mish-mash of various meats and spices that is often topped with ketchup… Meat Loaf the singer!!  Back in high school when my friends were rockin’ out to REM, I was rocking out to Meat Loaf!  I even had a pet tarantula I named Meat Loaf.  Stop looking at me like that!  He was very furry and sweet.  I would also dress up as Columbia and go to The Rocky Horror Picture Show every weekend so I could dance with whomever was playing Eddie that night (Meat Loaf’s character).

Anyhoo, this morning I had the opportunity of a lifetime and I got to actually talk to him on the phone!!  Here’s how it happened: A station I do every other Tuesday, WIFC in Wausau, WI with Dave and Stacy, posted on Facebook that they were going to be interviewing Meat Loaf.  I commented about how much I love him and even wear my Bat Out of Hell T-shirt ad nauseum (according to my husband).  So, being the thoughtful and wonderful morning duo that they are, invited me to come on the air with them when they interviewed Meatloaf.  He was very cool and has a new album coming out that I will absolutely be buying.  He even shared his recurring dream with me.  Listen below.  It was pure awesomeness!

My audio is a little low in the beginning but it gets louder just a little bit in…

When your head hits the pillow each night, you never know where your dreams will place you.  Will you find yourself in a midievil castle climbing an endless marble staircase, or in your old chemistry class hiding your naked butt behind behind your book bag?  Like I always say (borrowing from Forrest Gump), “Dreams are like a box of chocolates; you never know what you’re gonna get.”

One of the more common dreamscapes we find ourselves in is a war zone.  Men and women dream of this setting equally.  Wanna find out what it means?  Listen to the audio below.  It’s from this morning when I was a guest on KYGO’s morning show in Denver, CO with Kelly Ford and Rider…

What about you?  What is the most common setting your dreams take place in?  Lately, my dreams have been taking place in mt Grandma’s house the most.

“All my friends come to me now when they want to understand their dreams.  Your books have made me very popular!!”   – Gina, Syracuse, NY

I remember when I was a little girl, about 5 or 6 years old, watching my poor mother vomit all over the coffee table the night before she was to get on a plane to go to Africa.  She was deathly afraid of flying, yet my father, being a world traveler, would drag her all over the globe.  According to ICR-International Communications Research one percent of women say they’re afraid to fly, compared to 6 percent of men.  Considering that study after study shows that air travel is far safer than travel by car, that’s a lot of fear that is out there.

I often wonder how many of those that are afraid to fly can connect the source of their fear to a plane crash dream.  I can’t tell you how many times a listener has called in and told me they can’t bring themselves to get on a plane because of the terror they experienced from a plane crash dream.  Most of these people fear that the dream is a glimpse of their future!  Of course, I have to reassure them by saying, “Plane crash dreams are so common that if they were showing us the future, we’d all perish in a plane crash and there wouldn’t be a single plane that ever reached it’s destination safely.”

That brings me to why plane crash dreams are so darn common… Because we all have high hopes that come crashing down from time to time.

I was a guest on KAT Country in Modesto, CA with DJ Walker yesterday morning when a lady called in wanting to know why she is constantly dreaming of plane crashes.  Listen to the audio below and find out what high hopes she had that came crashing down around her.

Oh, and as far as my mom… she finally overcame her fear of flying by going to a hypnotist!  He gave her a subconscious suggestion to use everytime that fear starts creeping up on her, and it’s been working for her for over 25 years now!  The subconscious is an amazing thing and it speaks to us every night when we dream.  But if you can’t understand its language, you aren’t getting its messages. Grab yourself a copy of one of my books and you’ll easily understand your dreams every morning… and get a HUGE edge in life.

axI’ve obviously been doing this dream thing for too long because, even though I have not personally had the “chopping someone up” dream, I have had it reported to me many times!  So much so that I believe it is probably fairly common, perhaps even more than we might think; because odds are, there are oodles of fine, upstanding, perfectly sane folks out there that have had the dream… but are too afraid to admit it.

I was on the Rod Ryan Show yesterday, which airs out of KTBZ in Houston, TX and is simulcast in New Orleans when Rod read an email from a listener who had this very dream.  Once you understand the meaning of this less-than-pleasant dream, you’ll see why it is pretty common.  If you’re dying to know, then forward the audio below to the 6:24 mark.  Otherwise, go ahead and listen to it all.  You’ll find out why Rod can’t ever have a sex dream, what it means when you dream of falling, of being trapped, teeth falling out and more!

Ever dream of traveling into space?   December 12th, 2009

space_travel_on_creditSpaceships, UFOs, rockets, space shuttles, all these vehicles are capable of traveling not only high into the sky but beyond this world, so when they travel into our dreams they represent our extreme high hopes of being able to travel above and beyond our personal world as we now know it.

A great example of such a dream came from radio personality Cowhead, who can be heard on 102.5 The Bone here in Tampa, FL.  I was on his show back in April when he relayed an interesting dream he had about the space shuttle…

What about you?  What kind of space travel or UFO dreams have you had? Can you connect them to high hopes you have for yourself?

Don’t let your dreams frighten you!  Let them enlighten you!!  Grab yourself a copy of one of my books and you’ll easily understand your dreams every morning and get a HUGE edge in life.

“Your books have been a life saver for me!  Being able to understand my dreams has helped me to turn my marriage around because they were showing me what I have been doing to make our situation worse. Wow. It’s unbelievable how helpful my dreams have been to me.  I can not thank you enough.”   - Tammy, Flagstaff, AZ

Restaurant settings in dreams   November 18th, 2009

Cafeteria_SignA lot of my dreams take place in restaurants or kitchens. Sure, some of these dreams are connected to the constant policing of my diet, but more often than not, the restaurant or cafeteria setting of a dream goes much deeper than concern over what you eat in waking life.

This morning I was a guest on KSTT in San Luis Obispo, CA with Bill and Amy and Bill shared his cafeteria dream with me and it revealed a lot about what he is going through right now…

As you can see, no matter how mundane or pointless you think your dream may be, there is always a message you need to know!

Don’t let your dreams frighten you!  Let them enlighten you!!  Grab yourself a copy of one of my books and you’ll easily understand your dreams every morning and get a HUGE edge in life.

I keep dreaming of a snake pit!   November 16th, 2009

snakepit-792614Cats, dogs and snakes are the three animals we dream about the most. Why cats, dogs and snakes? I’m sure the fact that these three are common pets plays into it, but even more is that these three creatures represent how we all tend to behave in our relationships… and what relationship doesn’t have its issues?

Case in point, Listen to the audio below and find out how this man’s recurring snake dreams are a brutally honest commentary on his relationship. This is from when I was a guest on WPXY in Rochester, NY with Spezanno and Sandy…

What about you? Have you had any notable snake dreams? Share them in the comments section.

Are you dreaming of fish, snakes, dogs, or other animals? Then you gotta grab yourself a copy of my book So, What Did You Dream Last Night? It’s ALL in there!  And it has pretty cool dream inspired illustrations too!!

Colored doors   November 13th, 2009

I get asked a lot if it’s true that we dream in black and white.  The answer is NO!  Not true at all.  That is a myth that was born in the 50s, the age of black and white television.  Before that, no one had ever claimed to dream in black and white.  If you see in color, you dream in color.  In fact, any color that seems to stand out to you in a dream is important and there for a reason.  Everything in your dream means something, even the colors.

Last week I was a guest on WUHU in Bowling Green, KY with Brooke Summers when a listener called in with a dream about colored doors.  What you don’t get to hear in the call, because it was edited out, was that she is currently trying to decide if she should keep looking for a man or just give up for a while…

What about you?  Have any colors been standing out to you in your dreams?

Dreams help us in every area of our lives, relationships, career, overcoming the past… you name it!  When you can understand your dreams, your life gets better because decisions are easier, tough situations are clearer and you’re just plain smarter when you dream! My book Cracking The Dream Code will help you learn your own dream language so you can get an edge in life.
